I just finished watching the movie Pearl Jam Twenty which blew me away. Truly a beautiful movie that shares so much about music, love, life, determination & most importantly human relationships. PJ 20 gives you the bare bones background to the beginnings of this iconic band.
This movie is not just for fans, but for everyone who roots for the underdog. I have always been a very devoted pearl jam fan even biased at one point. But this move put my fan-dome to the test and even made me put it aside to truly enjoy the story of 4 guys who just wanted to make music. I say 4 because until recently their drummer situation was part of rock mythology.
This movie shows us that when people connect in all ways possible nothing can stand in there way or break that bound. No matter what is thrown at them they move and grow together. Pearl Jam shows us that life is to be lived and to never stop what you love. Always defy, question & persevere.
To commemorate this movie moment I am giving away a Pearl Jam compilation created for a friend years ago. It is not the same one (as you can see below) this deluxe version has 3 extra tracks that after this movie came to mind.
