Jimmy Fallon had some grand shoes to fill after the departure of Conan O’Brien. I remember watching the premiere of Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, and seeing a very nervous host with not-so-funny jokes. It made you cringe with every passing second. Yet, with hard work and time, something great will always develop. Needless to say, Jimmy has really come into his own and found his comedic niche after 2+ years on the air. Thus, it brings me to the following video stumbled upon from one of his shows last week. It’s Jimmy Fallon doing a spot-on impression of iconic doors frontman Jim Morrison, complete with leather pants, groovy body bending, and vocal yelling that matches Morrison’s to a capital T. The Pièce de résistance is that he doesn’t cover any of the bands hits, but the theme song to the classic children’s reading show Reading Rainbow, and it’s one of the best covers I have heard in my life.
